Notice to Consumers Contacted by Salient AI Agents
Salient provides AI-powered voice agent technology to financial services companies, lenders, servicers, and debt collectors (our "Business Customers"). If you have received a call from or spoken with a Salient AI voice agent, the following applies to you:
Salient is a technology platform provider, not a data controller for your account information. The Business Customer on whose behalf the call was made — for example, your lender or servicer — is the party responsible for how your personal information is collected, used, and protected in connection with your account. Your rights regarding your account information, including requests to access, correct, or delete your data, should be directed to that Business Customer directly.
AI Disclosure. Salient's AI voice agents are programmed to disclose at the outset of any interaction that the caller is an AI voice agent acting on behalf of the Business Customer. This disclosure is required by Salient's platform policies and by applicable law in several states.
Data Salient processes on behalf of Business Customers. In the course of providing the Services, Salient may process certain personal information about you — such as your name, phone number, account status, and call content — solely on behalf of and under the direction of the Business Customer. Salient processes this information only as a service provider or processor, not for its own purposes. Salient does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
To exercise your privacy rights regarding information processed in connection with a call from a Salient AI agent, please contact the Business Customer (the lender or servicer) directly. If you are unable to identify the Business Customer or need assistance, you may contact us at privacy@trysalient.com and we will direct your inquiry appropriately.

C. Data Processed on Behalf of Business Customers
In providing the Services, Salient's platform processes personal information that Business Customers provide or that is generated in the course of AI agent interactions with Consumers. This includes call content, transcripts, authentication data, account information, and consumer contact information. Salient processes this data solely as a service provider under the direction of the Business Customer and in accordance with our agreements with them. This data is not used by Salient for its own independent purposes except as described in the Usage Data section below and as permitted under our agreements.
D. Job Applicants
If you apply for a position at Salient, we collect personal information you provide in connection with your application, including your name, contact information, work history, educational background, and any other information you choose to include in your application or resume. We may also collect information from references you provide or from background check providers where permitted by applicable law.
We use this information solely to evaluate your application, communicate with you about the hiring process, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Applicant information is not used for any other purpose without your consent.
We retain applicant information for a reasonable period following the conclusion of the hiring process, or as required by law. If you are hired, your information will be incorporated into your employment records. California residents may exercise their CCPA rights with respect to applicant information by contacting privacy@trysalient.com with the subject line "Applicant Privacy Rights Request."

How We Share Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers. We share information with third-party vendors and service providers that support our operations, including cloud infrastructure providers, telephony and communications providers, analytics providers, security and fraud prevention services, and customer relationship management tools. All Service Providers are contractually required to process data only on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions and applicable law. A current list of material subprocessors is available upon written request to privacy@trysalient.com.
Business Customers. We share information with the Business Customer associated with a given account or interaction, consistent with the Services provided under our agreement with that Business Customer.
Business Transfers. If Salient is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, Personal Data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, including court orders, subpoenas, or government requests, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of Salient, our customers, or others.
With Your Consent. We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
We do not sell Personal Data. We do not share Personal Data with third parties for their own independent marketing or commercial purposes.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Data of Website visitors and Business Customer contacts for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. We retain Usage Data indefinitely in aggregated or de-identified form. Personal Data processed on behalf of Business Customers is retained in accordance with our agreements with those Business Customers and deleted or returned upon termination of those agreements. Upon written request, we will confirm deletion of Business Customer data.
Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no security measure is completely impenetrable and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. In the event of a security incident affecting Business Customer data, we will notify the affected Business Customer within 48 hours of becoming aware of the incident.
Your Privacy Rights
All Users
You have the right to access, correct, or delete Personal Data we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us at privacy@trysalient.com or clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
California Residents — CCPA/CPRA Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, "CCPA"):
Right to Know. You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of Personal Data we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete. You have the right to request deletion of Personal Data we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
Right to Correct. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate Personal Data we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. Salient does not sell Personal Data. To the extent Salient uses third-party cookies or tracking technologies on the Website that constitute "sharing" of Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising under CCPA, you have the right to opt out. To exercise this right, contact us at privacy@trysalient.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt Out" or adjust your cookie preferences as described above.

We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary and with prior notice.
Note for Consumers contacted by Salient AI agents: As described above, Salient processes your information in those interactions as a service provider on behalf of the Business Customer. CCPA rights requests relating to that information should be directed to the Business Customer. If you submit a request to Salient that relates to data processed on behalf of a Business Customer, we will forward your request to the appropriate Business Customer and notify you within five (5) business days.
Automated Decision-Making and Artificial Intelligence
Salient provides AI-powered voice agent technology to Business Customers in the financial services industry. Our AI agents conduct outbound and inbound calls on behalf of Business Customers for purposes including collections, servicing, and customer communication.
Salient's platform provides technology capabilities — including AI-driven conversation, authentication, and compliance tools — but does not make autonomous decisions regarding consumers' accounts, creditworthiness, or collection outcomes. Those decisions remain with the Business Customer.
Each Salient AI voice agent is programmed to disclose at the outset of any interaction that the caller is an AI. This disclosure is a platform-level requirement and is required by law in California and several other states.
Business Customers are solely responsible for determining whether their deployment of the Services constitutes automated decision-making technology subject to applicable regulations, for conducting any required risk assessments, and for implementing any required consumer opt-out mechanisms.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@trysalient.com and we will take steps to delete it.
Links to Other Websites
Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or applicable law. We will notify Business Customers of material changes by email or by prominent notice on the Website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy reflects the date of the most recent revision. We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically.
